Abu Dhabi Pension Fund Earns Global Recognition for Social Security Practices
ABU DHABI: The Abu Dhabi Pension Fund has been awarded three prestigious Excellence Awards by the International Social Security Association (ISSA) for its innovative contributions to social security practices. These accolades were announced during the ISSA Regional Social Security Forum for Asia and the Pacific held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with representatives from over 30 countries in attendance.
According to Emirates News Agency, the awards recognize the Fund’s pioneering efforts in enhancing pension service quality and digital transformation. Special commendations were given for initiatives such as the development of a data quality and governance framework, the smart registration and subscription system, and a “Virtual Complaint” initiative designed to preempt potential grievances.
In addition to the three awards, the Fund received seven certificates of excellence and recognition for various innovative projects. These include digital services on the “WhatsApp” platform, a direct debit system, and init
iatives focused on inspection and compliance processes, quality monitoring, and institutional transformation. The proactive “To Whom It May Concern” certificate service was also noted as a significant achievement.
The Fund’s recognition comes as a result of passing the ISSA’s rigorous assessment program, which evaluates compliance with international guidelines in social security management. This achievement underscores the Fund’s commitment to maintaining high global standards in service delivery to its customers.
During the forum, Khalaf Abdulla Rahma Al Hammadi, Director-General of Pension Affairs at the Fund, emphasized the need for flexible social security systems to address crises and promote sustainability. He highlighted the importance of long-term strategies in tackling climate change and ensuring institutional sustainability.
Waleed Al Dhuhoori, Director of the Information Technology Division, presented the Fund’s integrated technology ecosystem, showcasing how advanced technological solutions
enhance institutional efficiency. Meanwhile, Hind Al Marzooqi from the Customer Happiness Division shared insights on utilizing technology and artificial intelligence to improve pension services and customer satisfaction.
Khalaf Abdulla Rahma Al Hammadi stated that the awards reflect the Fund’s continuous efforts to elevate the quality of government services to international standards. He noted that these achievements position the UAE and Abu Dhabi as leaders in social security practices both regionally and globally.
