DIFC and Lloyd’s Collaborate to Nurture Talent in Insurance Sector


DUBAI: Dubai International Financial Academy (DIFC) Academy has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Lloyd’s, the world’s leading insurance market, to develop future talent in the insurance sector. The agreement aims to expand the reach of Lloyd’s Academy, an education platform for risk professionals, to support the growing demand for skilled professionals in the Middle East region.



According to Emirates News Agency, the partnership builds on the existing relationship between DIFC and Lloyd’s. The MoU outlines plans to organize events, educational bootcamps, and on-demand learning initiatives. These efforts are designed to address the need for talent development across the insurance industry.



Alya AlZarouni, Chief Operating Officer of DIFC Authority, emphasized the importance of this collaboration, stating that DIFC offers a robust learning environment supported by renowned organizations. She noted that the initiative will further develop the insurance sector within DIFC, which currently includes more than 125 companies, fostering industry growth and shaping the future of finance.



Dawn Miller, Lloyd’s Chief Commercial Officer and CEO of Lloyd’s Americas, expressed optimism about the collaboration. She highlighted the significance of the MoU in advancing talent development and industry education, underscoring the commitment to cultivating a talent pipeline in the dynamic Middle East region.
