Dubai Chamber Members Achieve Record AED 300 Billion in Exports and Re-exports in 2024


Dubai: The Dubai Chamber of Commerce, a key entity under Dubai Chambers, has announced significant achievements in 2024, marking a year of remarkable growth and development. By the end of the year, the chamber’s active membership grew to 258,318, an 18 percent increase compared to 2023.



According to Emirates News Agency, the chamber welcomed 70,500 new companies, marking a 3 percent growth from the previous year. This underscores Dubai’s growing appeal as a prime destination for businesses and investors. Notably, the value of exports and re-exports by chamber members crossed AED 300 billion for the first time, reaching AED 309.6 billion, an annual growth of 9.2 percent.



The chamber issued 791,115 Certificates of Origin, reflecting an 8 percent annual growth, and processed 5,357 ATA Carnets for goods valued at AED 4.3 billion. Abdul Aziz Abdulla Al Ghurair, Chairman of Dubai Chambers, attributed these successes to the visionary leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, emphasizing Dubai’s position as a global business hub.



Al Ghurair highlighted the chamber’s role in fostering economic growth and supporting the business community. The chamber’s strategic collaboration with Business Groups led to the review of 107 laws, with a 58 percent adoption rate of the resulting recommendations. Additionally, the chamber established nine new Business Councils and handled 171 mediation cases, achieving an 88 percent settlement rate.



Legal awareness workshops organized by the chamber engaged 2,698 representatives, ensuring compliance with business regulations. The Dubai Centre for Family Businesses conducted training and governance sessions, launching the inaugural Dubai Family Business Management Programme.



In 2024, the chamber introduced an ESG label to promote corporate sustainability, awarding it to 27 companies. The chamber’s Sustainability Week saw participation from 526 business community members, focusing on digitalisation and AI’s role in sustainable practices.



These initiatives reflect the Dubai Chamber of Commerce’s commitment to enhancing business opportunities and sustainability, reinforcing Dubai’s status as a leading global business center.
