Dubai: Dubai CommerCity, the region’s first and leading free zone dedicated exclusively to digital commerce, has announced the agenda and speakers for the much-anticipated WORLDEF Dubai 2024 forum. This joint venture between Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority (DIEZ) and Wasl Properties aims to strengthen Dubai’s position as a global hub for digital economy and international trade. Scheduled to take place from December 4-5, the forum will be held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of DIEZ.
According to Emirates News Agency, the event is organized by WORLDEF, an international platform dedicated to supporting global expansion in cross-border e-commerce and digital commerce. It will feature an opening speech by Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade, followed by a keynote address from Dr. Mohammed Al Zarooni, Executive Chairman of DIEZ and Chairman of the Board of Dubai CommerCity. Murodali Alimardon, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic o
f Tajikistan, will also be in attendance, alongside representatives from leading digital commerce companies.
The forum is expected to draw over 5,000 visitors from 40 countries and will serve as a critical platform for discussing innovations and trends in digital trade. It will particularly focus on growth opportunities outlined in Dubai’s Economic Agenda D33. Dr. Mohammed Al Zarooni emphasized Dubai’s success in becoming a digital commerce leader, attributing it to strategic initiatives aligned with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
Omar Nart, CEO of WORLDEF, highlighted the forum’s emphasis on international collaboration, featuring a diverse lineup of speakers from the digital commerce and cross-border e-commerce sectors. The agenda includes panel discussions, case studies, and interactive training sessions covering topics such as the future of digital trade, digital marketing, logistics services, payment solutions, and the role of AI.

om His Excellency Mohammed Ali Rashid Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, on the growth opportunities in the Dubai Economic Agenda D33. Hadi Badri, CEO of the Dubai Economic Development Corporation, will participate in a panel on Dubai’s global e-commerce hub role. Notable speakers like Faraz Khalid, CEO of Noon, and Alastair Croker, CEO of Tradeling, will share insights on quick commerce and B2B e-commerce in the region.
A panel on sustainable logistics will feature Manosij Ganguli, Chief Sustainability Officer, Aramex; Enes Yilmaz, Managing Director, Widect, Turkish Cargo; and Tobias Schoenberg, Senior Partner at Roland Berger. The session will explore innovative practices in green transportation, waste reduction, and energy efficiency, aiming to help companies achieve sustainability goals.
