Fujairah Mountain Shooting Championship Attracts Over 400 Participants from 37 Countries


Fujairah: The Fujairah Shooting Club has announced the conclusion of the registration period for the 2nd Fujairah Mountain Shooting Championship (FMSC), with over 400 participants from 37 countries set to compete. The registration period ended in December 2024, and the event will take place from 1st to 8th February 2025 in Dibba, Fujairah.



According to Emirates News Agency, the championship is organised under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, and will be conducted in two stages. Preliminary competitions are scheduled from 1st to 4th February, followed by the main championship from 5th to 8th February. The event aims to draw a wide audience from the region with additional side events like the 50 Target English Sporting and Pool Shoots.



Saif Al Zahmi, Director of FMSC, highlighted the increased participation from shooting enthusiasts worldwide, emphasizing the championship’s role in celebrating the rich hunting tradition and heritage of the region. The championship will use environmentally friendly materials, including 100% natural ammunition and biodegradable targets, to minimize its ecological impact.



The event is supported by the NSCA and the CPSA, with partners such as Eley Hawk, known for its eco-friendly ammunition, Promatic, Fujairah Oil Industry Zone, and others. The organisers are focused on providing a sustainable and exhilarating experience for all participants.
