Hamdan bin Mohammed Attends Graduation Ceremony at Dubai Police Academy


Dubai: H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, attended the graduation ceremony at the Dubai Police Academy, held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai.



According to Emirates News Agency, the event celebrated the 32nd cohort of male cadets, which included 62 students, and the 5th cohort of female cadets, comprising 17 students. The graduates marked the completion of their training program at the academy’s parade ground, with the ceremony attended by prominent figures, including H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, H.H. Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and other dignitaries.



The ceremony commenced with the national anthem and a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by an impressive display of military skills by the cadets. They also paid tribute to President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan by forming his likeness during the parade. This gesture coincided with the announcement of 2025 as the ‘Year of the Community,’ emphasizing the leadership’s vision for a unified society.



H.H. Sheikh Hamdan, alongside Lieutenant-General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri and Brigadier Dr. Sultan Abdul Hamid Al Jamal, awarded medals of excellence to top-performing cadets, congratulating them on their achievements. The ceremony concluded with the traditional handover of the academy flag and a collective oath to uphold the values of Dubai Police.



Brigadier Dr. Sultan Abdul Hamid Al Jamal highlighted the academy’s ongoing efforts to prepare officers capable of addressing security challenges. He noted the inspiration drawn from H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s words about Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed’s leadership. The event also served to strengthen Dubai Police Academy’s reputation as a leading institution in police and security training.



Lieutenant-General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri praised the graduates for their dedication and reiterated the importance of social cohesion as announced in the ‘Year of the Community.’ He emphasized the crucial role of the new graduates in maintaining national security and acknowledged the faculty’s dedication to providing top-tier education and training.



Brigadier Abdulaziz Mohammed Amin and Brigadier Badran Al Shamsi further emphasized the importance of practical training and the academy’s achievements, including the Police Innovation and Leadership Diploma (PIL), which has trained security specialists worldwide. This year’s PIL program featured 54 participants from 39 countries, highlighting Dubai Police’s global leadership in law enforcement training.
