Ministry of Foreign Affairs Allows UAE Nationals to Travel to Lebanon Starting May 2025
Abu Dhabi: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) has announced the lifting of the travel ban on UAE nationals traveling to Lebanon, effective May 7, 2025. This decision comes under the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, aiming to strengthen fraternal ties between the two nations.
According to Emirates News Agency, the announcement follows the official visit of Joseph Aoun, President of Lebanon, to the UAE, where he met with President H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. During their meeting, both leaders agreed to facilitate travel for citizens by implementing necessary procedures and mechanisms to ensure smooth movement between the UAE and Lebanon.
UAE nationals planning to travel to Lebanon are required to register with MoFA’s Twajudi service before departure, whether traveling directly from UAE airports or through third countries. This registration is mandatory, and travelers must also notify authorities of their return via the same platform. Failing to complete
the Twajudi registration may lead to delays or legal liability.
MoFA emphasizes the need for UAE nationals to provide complete and accurate information, including their intended address in Lebanon, contact details for emergencies, and the purpose of travel. Any changes in this information must be promptly updated to avoid legal consequences. The Ministry underscores the importance of adhering to these procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of UAE nationals while abroad.
