SEC Appoints Maryam Al Shamsi as Director of SSSD
Sharjah: H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Sharjah Executive Council (SEC), led a meeting at the Sharjah Ruler’s Office. The meeting was attended by H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Vice Chairman of the SEC.
According to Emirates News Agency, the SEC, during its weekly meeting, issued a decision to promote Maryam Majid Saeed Al Shamsi, the Director of Al Hamriyah Branch of the Sharjah Social Services Department (SSSD), to the position of Department Director under the special job system of the Government of Sharjah. She has been appointed as the Director of the SSSD.
The council discussed several topics related to monitoring the performance of local departments and authorities to ensure optimal service delivery to the community across multiple sectors and fields.
Additionally, the council approved recommendations related to the Temporary Housing System and updates to its regulatory framework. This initiative is designed to provide services to citizens, address their needs, support family stability, and ensure suitable housing in emergency cases.
A detailed report on the Temporary Housing System was presented, covering eligibility criteria, conditions, contributing entities, and key statistics on applications. The report also highlighted financial costs, challenges, proposed solutions, and recommendations.
The council also reviewed a report from the Sharjah International Airport Authority, focusing on services offered to travelers to ensure a smooth travel experience, reduce congestion, and enhance efficiency. The report detailed efforts in digital transformation and innovation in the travel sector, aiming to boost Sharjah’s competitiveness and enhance customer satisfaction.
