Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Welcomes New Zealand Prime Minister at Wahat Al Karama
Abu Dhabi: H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes’ Affairs, received New Zealand’s Prime Minister Christopher Luxon at Wahat Al Karama in Abu Dhabi as part of the Prime Minister’s official visit to the UAE. The meeting underscores the continuing relationship between the two nations.
According to Emirates News Agency, the New Zealand Prime Minister, accompanied by H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed, reviewed the guard of honour before laying flowers at the memorial in front of the martyr’s monument. This act of respect was followed by a briefing on Wahat Al Karama, a site that commemorates the heroism and sacrifices of UAE Nationals who defended their country and safeguarded its achievements.
H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed commended the evolving relations between the UAE and New Zealand, attributing this development to the leadership of both countries, which aims to further the mutual interests of their peoples. He emphasized that Wahat Al Karama serves as a lasting testament to the UAE’s gratitude towards its heroes, reflecting the values of heroism, courage, and sacrifice cherished by Emiratis.
Concluding the visit, Prime Minister Luxon wrote a message in the Wahat Al Karama guestbook, expressing his admiration for the UAE’s martyrs, highlighting the deep respect between the UAE and New Zealand.
