Abu Dhabi: President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has awarded the First-Class Medal of Independence to Álvaro Carlo Moreira, the Ambassador of the Oriental Republic of Uruguay to the UAE. This honor marks the end of Moreira’s tenure and recognizes his efforts in enhancing the bilateral ties between the two nations.
According to Emirates News Agency, Reem bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation, presented the medal to Moreira during a meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs headquarters. During this meeting, Al Hashimy emphasized the UAE’s commitment to strengthening relations with Uruguay across various sectors, aiming to advance cooperation that benefits both nations and their peoples. She lauded the ambassador’s contributions to bilateral relations and wished him success in his future endeavors.
In response, Moreira expressed his gratitude to President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and highlighted the deepening ties between the UAE and Uruguay. H
