UAE Selected to Represent Asia in Global Horse Welfare Committee


Dubai: The United Arab Emirates has been appointed by the Executive Council of the Asian Racing Federation (ARF) to represent Asia in the Horse Welfare Committee of the International Federation of Horseracing Authorities (IFHA). This decision was made during a meeting of the ARF Executive Council in Hong Kong, attended by a UAE delegation led by Mohammad Saeed Al Shehhi, the General Manager and Board Member of the Emirates Racing Authority and Vice-Chair of the Asian Racing Federation.

According to Emirates News Agency, the ARF Executive Council’s meeting focused on enhancing horse welfare and safety practices across the continent. The council also discussed ways to improve the standards for organizing races in Asia and highlighted the significance of developing infrastructure for racing. Additionally, the meeting emphasized the importance of fostering cooperation among member nations to achieve sustainable goals in the industry.
